Snacks on the go

Do you “fall off the wagon” when making food, beverage and snack choices while traveling?

You pull in for gas or a “pit stop” and the choices for snacks and beverages are often well below the wellness standard you try to maintain at home.

I am so thankful for the many great options Young Living offers to keep me hydrated and satisfied; and because of that, I find most convenience store choices less appealing.

  • One of my favorites is NingXia Red. In fact, if you toss a few of the single travel packs in the freezer, they make a great cold pop snack for the kids!
  • I love the Chocolate Coated Wolfberry Crisp Bars. They satisfy my cravings for chocolate and fill me up in a healthy way!
  • When I need some energy to keep going, I reach for a NingXia Nitro shot.
  • And for a cool refreshing burst of energy and taste, there is NingXia Zyng.

These are just a few of my favorites. But there are a lot of great options available. And get this: I rarely have to purchase these items, because I save up my product points and get them for free!

In my newsletter called Oils On The Go, you also will find other suggestions for making better choices when you are on the go or traveling. And you can contact me to learn how to get free products.

Trim Down

Would you like to slim down a bit before the holidays? Now is a great time to start!

Here are three essential oils that may support you in this journey:

  • Lemon supports the liver and can boost energy.
  • Peppermint can help tone down your appetite.
  • Grapefruit – a natural weight loss appetite suppressant and through a process called lipolysis dissolves fat.
  • Bergamot – stimulates your endocrine system and produces a sense of calm and well being and alleviates stress. Lavender can be combined with bergamot to enhance this calming effect. Bergamot mixes well with many others for a “perfume”.
  • Tangerine – A diuretic and is also used to calm the nervous system.
  • Orange oil – helps overcome feelings of depression and gives emotional support.
  • Ylang ylang – used to clarify thoughts and assist in a feeling of wellness and calm.
  • Patchouli – used as a sedative and relaxation aid.

Two other products that I love for weight management are Slique Essence and Slique Tea. These two products were a big part of my personal weight loss journey a few years ago.

What Young Living products have you found useful in trimming down? I would love to know what you have used and how it worked.

Supporting the Liver

The diets most people follow are loaded with processed foods, fats, sugars and “foods” that really should not be honored to bear the name of “FOOD”! Many people poison their bodies on a daily basis with what they put in their mouths. We can also heal our bodies by eating healthy foods that will nourish and support our bodies. The choice is up to us.

Often people go along year after year totally unaware of what is happening to their bodies. That is until it is too late. Or nearly too late. Suddenly they get sick. Maybe they end up at Urgent Care and discover their liver or gallbladder is full of stones or worse yet, diseased. Oh well, let’s just take it out. You can live without a gallbladder, after all. Well, yes, this is true. But if it is not that important, then why did God put it in our bodies in the first place?

Personally, I believe a better approach is to eat healthy and support all the organs of your body before you have a problem. And if you do have a problem, I affirm anyone who chooses to do everything within their power to find the most natural way to resolve it.

Juva Cleanse is an extremely powerful blend. It was developed to help support the liver and gallbladder. Young Living actually has quite a few products that support these organs. Here are some of them.

If you have already had your gallbladder removed, there is still hope. You can change your diet and support your liver and body. I also affirm you in that. Find someone who can help you learn how to turn your life around and begin to do good things for your liver! I would be happy to encourage you in that process and share the things that have been helpful to many folks in your situation. Start today to give your body the support it needs to  give you the very best future possible!

Food for thought

It’s a strange world

Oh, sugar, sugar…

Too Much Sugar

I found these points made by Dr. Mercola to be interesting…

  • Older women who regularly drink soda or other sugary beverages may be at significantly increased risk for endometrial cancer
  • Women who had the highest intake of sugary beverages had a 78 percent higher risk for endometrial cancer, and the risk appeared to be dose dependent; rising right along with consumption
  • Heart disease and cancer are both rooted in a flawed diet high in sugars
  • Sugar—not healthful fat—is the primary driver of heart disease
  • Clinical trials have shown that those who consume high-fructose corn syrup tend to develop higher risk factors for cardiovascular disease within as little as two weeks
