Anxiety during labor

Neroli

I love to see scientific evidence demonstrating how essential oils can be helpful in various ways. This study caught my attention, mainly because my granddaughter will deliver my first great grandchild soon!

The study was done by the Department of Midwifery of Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences in Iran. The results of this randomized clinical trial confirmed that aromatherapy using Neroli Oil is an effective way of reducing anxiety during labor.

If you are interested in trying Neroli during labor, here is some useful information for you…

How to Use
  • Dietary: Dilute one drop with V-6™ Enhanced Vegetable Oil Complex or olive oil. Put in a capsule and take up to three times daily or as needed.
  • Topical: Apply 2–4 drops directly to desired area. Dilution not required except for the most sensitive skin.
  • Aromatic: Diffuse up to one hour three times daily.
  • Keep out of reach of children. If you are pregnant, nursing, taking medication, or have a medical condition, consult a health-care practitioner prior to use.

I remember the anxiety I had during labor and wish I would have known this information then! On the other hand, if Neroli does help reduce anxiety, I am guessing it would work anytime, not just during labor! I know I sure enjoy smelling orange blossoms on the trees in my sister’s yard.

Perhaps you will find this helpful.
