Oils to carry when you are on the go

Summer is a time when a lot of people travel. In fact, I am doing a fair amount of traveling this summer. So I got to thinking this is a good time to talk about how essential oils can fit into our travel plans, as well as what oils are always good to have “on you” when you are out and about town.

Today, let’s focus on the oils and products I normally carry.

This is a picture of the products I pulled out of my purse this morning. They represent a versatile collection of products that I always want to have with me.

My Thieves Waterless Hand Purifier – well, what can I say? It’s pure and leaves my hands feeling clean and soft. Not to mention, that is just plain smells great!

Thieves Spray is perfect for spraying on surfaces I may have to be in contact with that, well, let’s face it, probably I wouldn’t want to touch if I knew what had been there before me! It’s also great to freshen up the air in a smelly place, if you know what I mean.

The Cinnamint Lip Balm and L Briante’™ Lip Gloss keep my lips looking and feeling great.

Frankincense is my “Swiss Army Knife” of essential oils. I love it and it is great for any unexpected need from head to toe.

Inner Defense keeps my Immune System strong and as you can see, I keep a few capsules in a small pill box in my purse at all times. You just never know who might want a boost! I also carry a few Thieves Lozenges, which I forgot to pull out of my purse for the picture!

Finally, there are three roll-ons that are my go-to oils after Frankincense. Stress Away, Breathe Again, and Deep Relief. In my opinion, they pretty much cover nearly any situation that might crop up. In fact, let me tell you a quick story to demonstrate their versatility. And really, isn’t that what you want when you are away from home — versatility?

I was at an event and this young girl stepped on a rusty nail. She was in a total panic. I was one of the ladies trying to calm her and handle this emergency. Of course she needed medical attention, but the immediate need was to calm her, ease her pain, and clean the wound. And so in that order, my brain said, “You’ve got oils for this!” Stress Away calmed and quieted her uncontrolled crying. Next, I could reason with her that we can make this feel better. Deep Relief to the rescue! Finally, once she was calm and feeling better, we could clean the wound and apply Breathe Again. Why Breathe Again? Well, my knowledge about what is in it told me that it had properties that would be cleansing and just be helpful. As I always say, “If you don’t have what you need, use what you have.” Crisis over and she was on her way for professional help!

So you see, essential oils are a must for me when I am ON THE GO!
