I love smoothies, but when the summer heat and humidity start to sizzle, there is nothing like a cool, refreshing glass of lemonade or iced tea. I have a couple of favorites to whip up on those occasions.
These “recipes” are totally flexible according to your own taste!
- Several ice cubes
- 1 organic lemon
(remove the peal if you don’t like the bitter part!)
- 4 drops YL Citrus Fresh essential oil
- 4 drops YL Lemon essential oil
- 4 drops Yl Lavender essential oil
- Blue Agave or Stevia to sweeten to taste
(I start with 1/3 cup Agave)
- Pure water to fill your blender
Blend and enjoy!
Peppermint Iced Tea
- Brew 2 quarts tea using 2 or 3 tea bags
(I prefer YL Slique Tea or a good quality green tea)
- 2 drops YL Peppermint essential oil
- 2 drops YL Slique Essence
- 1 drop YL Lavender essential oil
- Sweeten to taste with Blue Agave or Stevia
(I start with less than 1/4 cup Agave)
Squeeze out the tea bags in the water, stir in the other ingredients and serve over ice.
Cool and refreshing, while calming cravings and giving added nutrients to your body!
