The Family Meal was a tradition I grew up with and maintain to this day. Yet, it has become a forgotten tradition today in many families. Dr. Mercola states that eating together as a family can boost your health, emotional well-being and family relationships. I think he has a good point. Some other points he makes include:
- Children who eat meals with their families get better grades, eat healthier, are less likely to be obese, and have greater emotional well-being and resilience
- Family meals also lead to increased family bonding and help you pass down traditional cooking methods and other family traditions to your children
